HUTS AND ROUTES
The Pagosa Hut and Trail System is different from some of the other Hut Systems in Colorado. It is intended for the joint use of both non-motorized and motorized users. This system provides an opportunity for cooperation between user groups. See Home Page for background information and Trip Planning for trails and access information.
- As much as possible, the trails provide separation between the two user groups.
- The elevation of the system is lower. Hut elevations range from 7,800 to 9,850 feet above sea level. Sickness due to altitude.
- The hut system will be open year around with the exception of spring when trail surfaces are soft (READ MUD).
- Some huts are easily accessible to families, especially in summer.
- Hut rentals are for the entire hut.
- ADA access.
